AUGUST 16, 2018 – Today PUBG Corporation (PUBG Corp.) unveiled its plans to showcase PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), the global battle royale gaming phenomenon, at Gamescom 2018, the world’s largest video game show taking place in Cologne, Germany, from August 21 to August 25.

PUBG Corp. will have exciting activations at several locations across the consumer area.

Players will not want to miss the PUBG on Xbox experience, featuring a new mode for Xbox One, playable for the first time at Gamescom – only in the Xbox booth (located in hall 8).

Schedule of PUBG main booth (hall 9) during Gamescom 18

PUBG is collaborating with Electronic Sports League (ESL) to bring a PUBG community booth within the ESL Arena (hall 9). The main booth will host the first “Meisterschaft”-finals, where the best German PUBG players will compete on Wednesday, August 23. From August 23 through the end of Gamescom 2018, PUBG Corp will also host the PUBG Charity Challenge (PUCC). This charity tournament will involve 32 popular content creators from Europe as they partner with some of their fans in action packed PUBG gameplay.  Over the course of three days, the duo teams will face off in various custom game challenges for a chance to win a piece of a $500,000 USD prize purse, with winnings being donated to charities of the winners’ choosing.

The challenges will be issued based on popular vote by the community on social channels, and fans at home will be able to follow the action on the PUBG Europe Stream - www.twitch.tv/pubg_eu.

Attendees visiting the HP-Omen booth (also located in hall 8) will be treated to a new, high stakes competition format, pairing up content creators and their fans in PUBG duos.  Beginning with a pot of $5,000 USD, each duo takes part in a three-day long battle against their opponents, collecting more winnings with each team they eliminate, but losing their own with each elimination. As the tournament progresses, the percentage of money that is won or lost will increase, starting with 25% on day one, and ending on 75% at the end of day three.
