Since Under The Waves' release, the team has made several improvements to the overall experience. The last patch includes new accessibility options, following input from the community:
- Graphic Option to attenuate the Grain
- Graphic Option to disable the Chromatic Aberration
- Graphic Option to disable the Letterboxing
- Graphic Option to disable the Lens Dirt
- Support of wide screens

Quantic Dream is also proud to partner with Kid Katana Records to carry its ecological message beyond the video game medium, with a first-ever video game music soundtrack vinyl that is entirely plastic-free. Composed by Nicolas Bredin, the Under The Waves soundtrack is as a true reflection of the game’s narrative, influenced by Icelandic composers such as Valgeir Sigurdsson and Ólafur Arnalds, as well as post-rock bands like Mogwai, Sigur Rós and Radiohead.
To stay true to the game’s environmental commitment and the partnership with Surfrider Foundation Europe to raise awareness for the protection of the ocean and its users, this OST vinyl will be manufactured in Germany using the brand new BioVinyl process developed by one of the leaders in Europe, Optimal Media.

The ecological impact of this physical edition has been carefully considered:
- A plastic-free disc production, with all petroleum in S-PVC replaced by recycling used cooking oil or industrial waste gasses. The ISCC PLUS certification obtained by the manufacturer even guarantees a sustainable supply chain.
- An eco-friendly packaging made of 100% recycled paper and cardboard and printed with sustainable inks made from plant oils.
- An eco-friendly design, with Kid Katana Records setting up a minimalist approach throughout the whole design to save the use of paper and ink, with no printed booklet, no large plain-coloured full-surfaces, and only 1 colour used.
Parallel Studio has added the J0 mode, a new feature allowing players to control the much-beloved sea lion in a dedicated part of the map. With this last addition, the team wanted to offer aquatic enthusiasts and virtual photographers a new way of experiencing the world of Under The Waves. This new mode can be accessed directly from the Under The Waves main menu by typing the Morse code "J0": one dot, eight dashes (achievable by flicking the right analog stick for one short time, followed by eight longer flicks).
