Press release

Fifth Annual Bungie Foundation fundraising event Game2Give kicks off today

Plus, Guardians will be able to customize their character and more in upcoming updates

The Bungie Foundation invites the gaming community to join in on the fifth-anniversary celebration of Game2Give, a global charity campaign that connects millions of Destiny players through unique rewards and exciting livestream festivities to support children's hospitals and provide relief to global communities in need.

Through February 4, the Bungie Foundation will be “opening the vault" to reintroduce twenty legacy Destiny 2 emblems from historical campaigns for donors and fundraisers to earn. Available only for a brief period, these sought-after rewards embody the history of community generosity that Game2Give represents. Also, debuting for the first time, special edition Game2Give merchandise is available now on the Bungie Store in limited quantities, and all profits for these items will go directly towards this year’s Game2Give campaign.

To participate in Game2Give, Guardians are encouraged to donate and earn credits toward rewards, all while helping Little Lights shine brighter. A $7 USD donation earns 1 credit toward a wide selection of rewards, including legacy emblems and new surprises. There is no limit on the number of credits, so participants can share rewards with friends, family, and their community. Upcoming Updates in Destiny 2

Today's This Week in Destiny (TWID) blog post announced some exciting updates coming to Destiny 2. On January 30, Moments of Triumph returns for Guardians to reflect on their achievements during the year of Lightfall and earn rewards as a testament to their skill, dedication, and spirit. Also on January 30, Riven’s Wishes will deliver new weekly pursuits allowing players to choose from a pool of high-value rewards for six consecutive weeks. All players will have their Glimmer cap doubled to 500,000 in the same update.

Before The Final Shape launches in June, players will be able to customize their existing Guardians’ looks by modifying their body type, face, hair, and markings at the character selection screen. Additionally, the Synthweave bounty cap for players to unlock armor ornaments will be reset, giving players more opportunities to express themselves using Destiny 2’s appearance customization system.

Destiny 2: Into the Light will launch in April, bringing new content in-game to prepare Guardians for their journey into the Traveler to take on the Witness in The Final Shape, launching June 4. This content update will be available to all players, with more details to come from Bungie in the weeks leading up to launch.
